REPORTING FRAUD, WASTE, AND ABUSE
The Tennessee District Public Defenders Conference (TNDPDC) is committed to maintaining a highly ethical environment and eliminating any misuse of taxpayer money. TNDPDC’s Executive Director and Audit Committee provide reporting mechanisms and investigative services to detect and prevent acts of fraud, waste, or abuse by employees, vendors, contractors, consultants, and grant recipients.
Suspected fraud, waste, or abuse of government resources can be reported online to the TNDPDC or by phone to the Comptroller of the Treasury, as detailed below.

Tennessee Comptroller’s Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Hotline
Since October 1983, the Comptroller of the Treasury has provided a toll-free hotline for reporting fraud, waste, and abuse of government funds and property. Periodicals throughout Tennessee publish information to notify citizens of the hotline and to encourage them to report wasteful, inefficient, or fraudulent activities. In addition, all state agencies, as well as agencies receiving community grant funds, are required to call attention to the hotline by displaying the hotline number in a prominent place with the following language:
